Wills & Probate Fees
For a single straightforward Will our fees are as follows:-

Our costs - £150.00, VAT - £30.00 - Total - £180.00

For joint “Mirror” Wills (for example where two partners may leave all of their Property to each other but make provision on the death of the second of them) our fees are as follows:-

Our costs - £250.00, VAT - £50.00 - Total - £300.00

Our fees in relation to obtaining a Grant of Probate (where there is a Will) or a Grant of Letters of Administration (where there is no Will) are as follows:

If there is no Inheritance Tax payable then our charges are:-

Our costs - £385.00, VAT - £77.00
Oath fees – between £7.00 and £14.00 Probate Registry fee - £273.00

If there is Inheritance Tax payable on the Estate (this could apply to net Estates exceeding £325,000.00 – or £650,000.00 on the death of a widow or widower) then we make an additional charge of £500.00 plus £100.00 VAT for completing the additional Tax Returns.

As part of our fixed fees we will:-

          (a)      Provide you with a dedicated and experienced Probate solicitor to work on your case.

          (b)      Identify the legally appointed Executors of Administrators.

          (c)      Accurately the type of Probate application you will require.

          (d)      Obtain the relevant documents required to make the application.

          (e)      Complete the Probate application and the relevant HMRC forms.

          (f)       Draft a legal oath for you to swear.

          (g)      Arrange and attend with you the swearing of that oath.

          (h)      Make the application to the Probate Registry on your behalf.

          (i)       Obtain the Grant of Probate (or Letters of Administration) and securely send at least two sealed copies to you.
